A 94-year-old nursing home resident experienced rapid weight loss and severe lethargy. Her room became infested with small flies identified as Megaselia scalaris. A simple treatment protocol eliminated the infestation, improving her quality of life. Awareness of M. scalaris myiasis among healthcare personnel remains limited.
