A Narrative Review of Covid-19 Public Health Literature Critical of the Mainstream Narrative

Key aspects of the recent Covid-19 pandemic, that has had wide-ranging and devasting effects on the world population, are critically reviewed. This critical review presents available scientific evidence that challenges the official narrative regarding the origin of the virus, the level of lethality of Covid-19, the responsiveness of Covid-19 to early-treatment and the effectiveness of the non-pharmacological and pharmacological interventions employed during the pandemic. A growing number of studies question the effectiveness of both lockdown-related measures and the mass vaccination programs in slowing the spread of Covid-19, reducing infection, transmission, hospitalization and death. This article also reviews the several harms these measures have inflicted to large sectors of the population and the economy, in the form of vaccine injuries, increase in health-related morbidities, economic damage to business and impoverishment of entire societies. These contributions have received little attention within the scientific community and mainstream media, to the detriment of a comprehensive scientific discussion, which would lead to improvement in public health policies. Psychological, psycho-social and political aspects that have been prominent during that period are also reviewed and discussed.
